Livelyhood Activities

A person’s livelihood refers to their means of securing the basic necessities food, water, shelter and clothing.Mission to reduce poverty by enabling the poor households to access gainful self-employment and skilled wage employment opportunities resulting in appreciable improvement in their livelihoods on a sustainable basis.Poor have a strong desire to come out of poverty, and they have innate capabilities.

In order to build support and sustain livelihood of the poor in Narsinghpur and Badamba Block of Cuttack District in the state of Odisha, BMFT plays a major role inharnessing their capability and complimenting them with capacities, information, knowledge, skill, tools, and escort facility for linkage by organizing proper training sessions.

Bobby Mohanty Foundation Trust is involved in providing livelihood training to the community of this area with the help, participation and cooperation of local community members.Activities such as Candle Making training, Incense sticksmaking training, Phenyl Making training, Mushroom Farming training is imparted to agroup.

BMFT also provides a holding hand and support services by linking the group with the Government livelihood projects to continue with the business they have taken training on. BMFT also helps skill development group in the process of getting government funds for earning their livelihood.

As selling the product isalsoa big challenge for the villagers, BMFT also takes a step forward to help in facilitating thegroup with proper channel to make reach their products reach the proper market.

BMFTis presently planning for imparting by rolling out a new livelihood programme for Onion, ginger and organic farming.
