Chhadkhai Festival @Kartik purnima Narasinghpur Block

The festival was organized by the Chhadkhai committee of Narsinghpur Block headed by the IIC, Narsinghpur Police station. It is a block level festival that organized every year during the Kartik purnima. It is celebrated for a week.

The festival attracts 15 – 20 thousands of people from nearby areas to witness the traditional events and purchasing of their utilities where a lot of stalls are on display comprising of household materials, equipments, and information on new project and schemes of different Departments pertaining to Government and other agencies.

Brief note on inauguration:

• Inaugurated by  with lighting of lamp and cutting the ribbon in presence of members of Women SHGs, media persons, committee members and other dignitaries of the Block.
• BMFT promoted SHGs and Bobby shakti members displayed and sold  their hand made products e.g  Badi, Millets powder(Raagi), Variety of Dal, Turmeric Powder, Papad, Snacks items, Incense stick, Bleaching powder, Blue, Phenyl etc.
• Our staffs and Bobby shaktis explained about the Mission, vision and the current activities that have been undertaken by BMFT to the visitors with free distribution of leaflets during the 7 days functions.
• BMFT initiated a quiz competition containing question of general knowledge to attract the youth segments. In which a lot of people took part with great enthusiasm. They are asked to fill up the questionnaire & drop in the drop box. And the winner of quiz will be declared on the last day of the festival through lucky draw and will be awarded.
• Total 3 attendants from the respective SHG group plus 2 attendants from BMFT staff

Bobby Mohanty Foundation Trust Achievement

• During the festival BMFT  witnessed more than 500 visitors everyday and the product were sold to the tune of Rs 10,000- 12,000/- . The visitors were eagerly enquiring about the credentials of BMFT and their activities. Such opportunities have enabled us to reach more and more people within a short span of time.
